Police Siege near where I live - Vitani - 03-08-2013
So, I put on the news, and there is a police siege happening where I live, there is a gunman wandering around, he has a sawn off shotgun / handgun, there are helicopters in the sky, police cars / vans everywhere, there are police in full body armor, SWAT, Federal police and etc, the police are carrying some sort of machine guns, not sure what they are, you see them on the SWAT teams, it's all over the news at the moment!
NOTE: The gunman was shot by police and is being taken to hospital, where after he will be taken to prison.
Definitely something you don't see everyday, especially where I live, it's very uncommon.

Did you see the police carrying the rifles? Apparently the guy ended up shot 3 times, but he also shot at the police!

Yeah but was under the impression that Australia was pretty much Europe's trashcan, they just sent all the prisoners and degenerates there when it was first discovered.
