Hotspot Shield VPN 5.20.14 Elite Edition (PC) - Blue - 04-11-2016 Works fine, I currently use this. Figured some of you would be in search of a vpn, and can try this one out! This VPN is good for anyone who doesn't plan on using it for hiding their IP while doing less-than-legal activities, which is what most of the users on this forum probably use VPNs for. Agree. Even those who "claim" not to keep logs or hand over details of malicious acts by the end-user, should not be trusted to their word. When warrants are Issued pending litigation and requesting (sorry, demanding) that details be released, a given VPN's TOS doesn't hold much ground. Whelp, looks like I am finding a different VPN. Can you recommend a free VPN that will be fine, or possibly one that is fairly cheap, I can down in a few bucks if I need too. And, also your personal recommendation? RE: Hotspot Shield VPN 5.20.14 Elite Edition (PC) - Manny - 04-11-2016 Hotspot shield is very terrible but it's good for those who just want to use it to bypass bans and other things like that. RE: Hotspot Shield VPN 5.20.14 Elite Edition (PC) - Bish0pQ - 04-11-2016 I wouldn't use Hotspotshield for hacking/cracking or doing anything illegal. It is good for people that want to access a site that they can't access in their country. Nice share nonetheless. They're based in Sweden where it's not legally required to log all activity going through servers. They also accept Bitcoin which is a plus since you don't have to give them incredibly private information to buy it. The reason why I trust them is because they claim not to log anything and I've used them to do "less-than-legal" activities many times in the past and nothing has happened to me. Despite liking Mullvad, the most private VPN you can get will be your own. Find a bulletproof host somewhere offshore and make your own if you're that paranoid about it. Google the name... Nope, try again. They collect your email and payment data and do comply with subpoenas. You should really read VPNs' privacy policies more often. Not really super paranoid, because I live in the middle of nowhere, and we don't even have cops in my town. So I'm honestly not really worried I bet I could not use a vpn for this one time and be fine. But I don't wanna take the risk. Thanks I'll check out Mullvad! |
