amazon messed up - clito999 - 12-11-2015 I ordered a computer desk the 4th of this month and got it on the 8th with my prime. The way they messed up is it still says it is out for delivery but its sitting in my front room. I have a moral dilemma do I tell them I have received my package and that someone made a mistake or do i tell them that I never got the package and get a full refund ? My amazon order RE: amazon messed up - Oni - 12-11-2015 I wouldn't recommend it. It's likely just a delay of it updating. RE: amazon messed up - roger_smith - 12-11-2015 sounds like Amazon did just fine and your parcel delivery carrier failed their part. Personally, I make it a point to not rip amazon off since they're already a pretty great company who takes care of their customers with legitimate issues. I'd rather not spoil that well since they've helped me on a number of issues in the past. This ^^. I suggest you take this under advisement. Adding to It, Amazon obviously have the funds when It comes to litigation, so I suggest to be honest and upfront with them. They never take legal action tho, ever, even if you plain out right admit you fucked them over they won't do anything, it's why they're the best company to SE for beginners. Still, OP you shouldn't fuck them over or try to, you should just leave it be, amazon are good in comparison to other companies. RE: amazon messed up - Earth - 12-11-2015 Amazon just fucked up my order, I ordered the Worksharp Guided Sharpening System upgrade kit and they sent me the system instead. I didn't even bother going through the return/replace option because I needed that upgrade kit yesterday so since they fucked me over now I am fucking them over on a $60 item and I will not be returning it I gave it to my father since I already got the system and I will be ordering the upgrade kit from Ebay instead now. But wtf is Amazon going to care $60 is chump change to them. Also take the tracking number and go to the carriers actual website and check the status because that is what Amazon will do, either way they ain't going to do anything over a $90 desk but they will most likely look into it to see if it shipped. RE: amazon messed up - ./Nomad - 12-11-2015 Yeah I'm with the general consensus here. Amazon is one of the few companies that still gives a shit about their customer base, The less people try to take advantage of them the better the chances are of them staying that way. Ah just proof you know fuck all and make blind assumptions without knowing the facts. Amazon will most likely ship him a replacement OR offer a refund after investigating the situation with the courier, either way they will do something in regards to issuing a refund or shipping a new one, that is if he ordered it from Amazon (aka they were the seller and not a 3rd party using Amazon to sell their products) If Amazon is not the primary seller then they will forward the issue to the seller and the seller will most likely take an identical course of action to what Amazon would do. If you do not believe me, feel free to contact them and find out yourself, they would do this procedure from a $1 item to a $1,499 item. Anything over $1,499 they would do a full in-depth investigation rather than a short 48hr (maximum) investigation. I highly suggest you re-read my post. What you just replied has absolutely nothing to do with what I wrote. So blind assumptions my ass. |
