Increase Traffic - Rhythm - 09-01-2015
I'm going to make this short and straight to the point. This forum isn't nearly as active as it deserves to be. Lets all get together and brainstorm some ideas on this thread.
My suggestions
[hide] tags: They increase traffic on the majority of forums that use them. People have to post to view content they desire. More posts = More traffic and activity.
Cracking and dumps section: Best believe cracking and the type are high in demand when it comes to hacking related forums. Offer a cracking usergroup to proven crackers to help get it started.
[hide] tags + dumps = BONUS: This forum contains plenty of quality members whom will undoubtedly collect some large and unique dumps. People who come across these will register and post just to access them. Once they register, they'll start snooping around the forum and realize how amazing it is, become active and maybe refer friends.
Search Bar Revamp:
- It's very discouraging having to wait 30 seconds to search something, cut it to 15 seconds. We don't have a valid enough reason for it to be 30 seconds.
- Make searches more accurate. Don't search through thread content, only search through thread titles. I've also noticed it searches for synonyms, it shouldn't do that.
One thing a lot of people look for in a hacking related forum is freedom, less censorship and that.
I GUARANTEE TRAFFIC WILL INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY ONCE THESE ARE IMPLEMENTED.
HAVE SUGGESTIONS? POST HERE, IF THEY'RE DECENT, I'LL ADD THEM TO THE THREAD.

The [hide] tags will only generate LQ posting- as It will entice short responses (example, "thanks....") just to view the contents of the post. We certainly don't want that.
Creating threads of Interest alone (particularly tutorials), will Increase the flow of posts, thus Increase activity.

I agree with cutting down the search time, and cutting out synonyms (if that's a thing). Not too sure about the rest of it.

Your search suggestions, yes. This has been a problem that ha sheen brought up a few times before and nothing has been done.
In terms of the hide tags, no. I want to see recent threads which have engaged conversation within the community in the recent threads section. Not a bunch of fresh accounts manned by children posting "thanks for the share Bro really needed this!!!!1!ONE"

I feel that [hide] tags like the ones LF and other low-quality cancerboards use are a really bad idea. One of the worse thing about them is having to post in a thread that is 200 weeks old just so you can see whats behind the tags and therefore grave-digging when they otherwise wouldn't. Comments should also not contain "Thanks been looking for this 4 long tiem posting to see" posts, but instead "I really liked your tutorial surprised this doesn't have more likes and shares on facebook love you long time".
As for the current activity on the forum, it seems to be steadily growing, especially compared to the number of users that used to be on this site a year ago. Now you rarely see that all of the "recent posts" are by one person.

You do know that you can increase minimum letters in a post, right? It'll clearly be put out there what members don't care about the forum and reply with "thankssssssssssss !!!" to view content.
