Malware Development for education purposes? - Null_Byte - 03-31-2015

Should I write a thread on malware development for "education purposes"? Just tell me what you guys would think about that. I may start simple and go with python (and compiling for nix or windows included) for the first few as I have done this for pentests. Then maybe go to more complicated things. Sound like a good idea?

Why are you making a thread asking if you should make another thread? If people are interested then they will care when you actually post it, otherwise they won't, who cares..? There's no meaning in making some pointless shit thread like this.

I think it'd be a great idea. Malware development isn't really covered enough generally because of its illegal connotations. What I want to know is how to create a hidden program in Python.

Go for it.

and why do you have to make a shitty post, eh? Shut the fuck up and get over yourself, you fucking prick. Go fuck with someone else or go eat a dick.

I just wanted to gauge peoples responses before I actually made a thread that would be quite big.

And it dosent always have to be evil. I create malware for different reasons. I like to learn how it works and also I may need it for work on day XP

I think its a great idea. I would prefer to have links to sites where you could practice this rather than flat out instructions since I want to test my skills without the FBI/INTERPOL showing up.

Well I mean if I were you I would just set up a test lab. I used to have an enterprise level virtual network running on 6 servers that I used to test malware and practice pentesting,

SWIM has really wanted to start working on some for EduPurps, so SWIM would love it if you would!

"i'll just make a thread asking if i should make /another/ thread, that way i'll get my post count up! genius!"

primarily because you created this redundant thread, no, you shouldn't. if this is the standard of your posts then i'm not entirely sure i want to be subdued to witnessing anymore of them

Don't judge too soon, Nully's pretty HQ. I agree, this thread is kinda redundant, but your post is a bit of an over-reaction.

I'd recommend withholding your judgement until after you read the actual thread.

Do we have an ETA, @Null_Byte?
