With how it was perceived by the forum in general, its no surprise to me nobody wanted to purchase it. Certain members seemed to make it their life goal that it was never taken seriously after their removal out of the large amounts of butthurt they experienced.
Main reason I wouldn't touch it is cos of how they were putting the group into this whole "oh, its only an egotistical circle jerk" type mindset. So you can kind of thank them it died as well.

Most groups are like this, unless they have some sort of hidden mass amounts of activity in their subforum. Even Otaku hasn't had a post in its subforum in ages, and even in the anime section very few posts are actually made in the name of Otaku. So really I think it's just a matter of groups in general not really working on Sinisterly, much less Reverence not working.

I still think this community is still small and close-ended for any real groups to exist, like @Six states, they're just to inflate your e-dick.

I've ran and owned groups on forums. I usually try to make groups that need to complete group challenges and such.
Make the group contribute to the forums and such, groups that are based on shit but don't give back are stupid.
