Hi everyone :D - Javagirl22 - 08-28-2014

Hey there!!!

If you´ve decided to take your time and read this, I thank you with my whole heart! :Grin:

Anyway, although I won´t be revealing my real name here, I can tell you that my most common nicknames (online AND in real life) are "Aye" and "Chi". You can pick one of them, I guess..

I am 16 proud years old (will be 17 in September, yayzz!), a girl, attending highschool in Germany (and living there, oh miracle..) and my roots are in Turkey. I even still know Turkish. Yey. :Mini-Smile:

When I have (hopefully) gained my degree I will attend university and (hopefully..) become a Qualified IT specialist or Tester at first and later try to connect my current job with Astrophysics and hopefully work for NASA/ESA.

My choice of job reflects my interests.
I am not an ace at computers (if anything, I am a complete and HOPELESS NOOB), but it is one of the things that fascinate me the most.
The first time I really came in contact with more than just the surface of a PC that anyone can use was a year ago, at school. We had IT lessons. I don´t know... we learned html (on pathetic school level, of course) and Java. I must admit that programming with Java didn´t thrill me at first.
What really happened was rather that I started to think and wonder how this technology of today really works. The thought that a little piece of metal was able to understand the difference between '0' and '1' fascinated me! :Gasp:

After long researches I have decided that the people who probably knew the most about computers were hackers. Well, my newest decision was to become one. Now it turns out that becoming a HACKER is freakishly hard. :Confused:
I keep using Java and now, html and CSS, too (of course, those are no programming languages, but I decided to learn them anyway to understand the source codes of websites), because I will need them at school next year. Oh, and android, too.
Although I may not know much yet, my ambitions are great. I wish to learn maaany other programming languages and even build my own computer sometime. I even plan on learning the binary code.. I want to know how it is possible that a computer works. I have not been able to understand it yet. :Frown:

I... don´t want to go that road alone. That´s why i´m here and in some other forums and challenge sites.

Other than that I love Astronomy. I have dreamt of becoming an astronaut ever since I was 9 years old! But I´ve kinda given up hope on that one since, you know, although no one admits it, they prefer men. No matter how good I am, my gut feeling is convinced that I don´t stand a chance against my competitors. This is something that makes me cry whenever I think about it.

Hmmm.. I love music from Within Temptation, Two Steps From Hell and recently also from Indila! ^^
And I enjoy writing a lot.. and play the violin.. and don´t like socio-scientific school subjects.. -_-

Oki! ^^ That´s all from me. I hope I can find some friends here and especially learn something! And after I have learned enough to be considered a hacker (oh god, I´d CELEBRATE that day!) I´ll help others that are in my current position.

~Aye

PS: I can´t reply the admin that wrote me a PM yet (gotta earn those points first!), but there are two things I wanted to tell him/her:
- THANK YOU!! For welcoming me. :Mini-Smile:
- Your avatar is really pretty. ^^

RE: Hi everyone :D - daviesadeleye - 08-28-2014

that's cool you are welcome. \i think we should get to reason together. i think you should know a little of Java isn't it?, Java is the next phase i want to build myself in. Reply ME ASAP

RE: Hi everyone :D - Javagirl22 - 08-28-2014

@daviesadeleye

Sounds like a good idea to me. ^^ What have you learned so far? Other than Java, I mean?

RE: Hi everyone :D - chmod - 08-28-2014

That was quite an introduction! A welcome change from the usual half a paragraph usually posted here.

Welcome to the forums look around a bit and I'm sure you will learn a lot here, we especially have some very talented Java developers here who will be more than happy to give you advice and suggest improvements (if any) to code if you decide to share it with us. Other than that keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure you will succeed down this long and challenging road, if you get stuck with anything remember Google is your friend and failing that we're pretty cool too so if you're still unsure of anything after your search ask us and someone will likely be able to nudge you in the right direction.

Other than that is you have any issues regarding the forum just let a staff member know and we will do our best to help you out, read the rules if you haven't already stay active and enjoy the ride.

Hey there, @Javagirl22...
Welcome to HackCommunity!

That was quite the introduction you just used. Oddly enough, you actually remind me of a female version of @"RaccoonCity". Thank you for not being the typical new member who just does some half-assed introduction because I genuinely hate that with a passion... They're just so boring to read (and repetitive, too)!

As @chmod said, please take a moment to read the rules because I really hope that you'll be sticking around HC and don't want you to accidentally mess up or something along those lines.

Warmest regards,
Maxx

RE: Hi everyone :D - Javagirl22 - 08-28-2014

@chmod and @Maxx

OMG!! Thanks for welcoming me like that! I would really appreciate the help of you guys should I get stuck somewhere..

and read the rules, I shall do that right away! Wink

PS: About my intro.. I´m glad you liked it. I kinda skimmed through other introductions for a while and was worried that this one may be too long. I decided to post it anyway. Glad that some people liked it. :Mini-Smile:

PS: @Maxx
Who´s RacoonCity?

No, no. Don't worry about posts or threads being 'too long' here at HC. Longer posts just means that you're going further into detail about something, and we encourage that here at HackCommunity!

As for RaccoonCity, he's a regular on this forum. He's here all the time, and is one of my bestfriend's online.

RE: Hi everyone :D - Javagirl22 - 08-28-2014

@Maxx
I see. Thank you then. But don´t tell me I didn´t warn you later. Although the stuff I write usually has content, it can be a lot. :Mini-Smile:

Oh cool! ^^ I may check him out later.

PS: Thanks for adding me to your budd list! ^^ I´m sorry I can´t thank you in private 'cause I don´t have the necessary coins yet D:

You're most certainly welcome.
Just so you know, you only need 5 posts (I think?) to send a PM. It's not a matter of having HC coins.

RE: Hi everyone :D - Javagirl22 - 08-28-2014

@Maxx
Ohh.. I misunderstood that, I guess.. ^-^;; Thanks for the info! ...then I only got one post left to do after this one. Good. I know very well how to use it.

I hope to see you around! ^^ I´ll be offline for now.
