My Name's AGU and I'm an Alcoholic - A Good Username - 07-16-2014

Hi Hack Community.

I've recently started an Ethical Hacking course, and it's fascinated me. Sadly, there does not seem to be much support with it, so Google has been my friend these past few weeks. Maybe you guys can be my friends too! Biggrin

I'm an undergraduate mathematician, having just finished my second year, and I have had a fair bit of programming knowledge, though I am no expert. (C++, Python, PHP and (of course) HTML).

So yes, that's me. Nice to meet you all. Especially you. (Yes you.)

I have a quick question (about a question) for you guys. I need a little help working Cain and Abel, (Google and the like isn't helping my issue) but it won't let me post a thread in the Cryptography section, as I haven't made enough posts to be able to, or something.

Obviously, I don't want to spam the place with an unnecessary posts just to up my post count, so where would it be appropriate to ask said question.

Welcome to the forum, regarding the lack of support for the course, that's the point really. What they are trying to do is get you to research and learn on your own away from the course which is a valuable skill in this field. That being said we are happy to point you in the right direction if you are truly stuck with something as long as you show you have tried to solve the problem yourself. Take a look at this for a great guide on getting the best answer for your questions.
