It all depends really, my school installs every computer over the network every semester. The ISO file is pre-installed with all the software we use. The ISO file is in an unprotected network drive. So you could easily make your own version of the ISO with a little keylogger. It isn't advised though. There is no way to protect yourself 100% from getting caught and If you get caught. Things can go bad really fast. Believe me, I once reported a XSS vulnerability and they accused me of hacking the school servers. Luckily one of the IT teachers stepped up for me otherwise I all my grades and exams would be declared unlawful what would mean I could restart High School...

You should use one that can spread itself through the network, e.g bind it with a file i.e used on everysystem on the network, most schools use a private ISP so it shouldnt be a problem to spread it through network sharing.
and btw i suggest you should restrain from posting these kind of threads if your intentions are Black Hat as this is an ethical forum, otherwise you're welcome to ask and share with us

Obviously sooner or later the IT guy is going to find the outgoing connection logs and will def get the ip address of the host (ftp) or the email (wich logs your own ip)
Desist of doing that,will bring you headaches to you and your parents mate.

not if he's using a vpn for that.
