HELP WITH MATH - RaccoonCity_mybb_import13707 - 11-19-2013 Hello. I might be good with computers I'm NOT good at math, at all. I would say math is the most important but still boring (I think atleast) subject. I've got a question, does anyone know how to calculate a number like this on paper? 49 / 32, for example. Thanks. RE: HELP WITH MATH - Slarek - 11-19-2013 Check this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_division RE: HELP WITH MATH - RaccoonCity_mybb_import13707 - 11-19-2013 (11-19-2013, 05:57 PM)Slarek Wrote: Check this: Thanks, but do you know any newer method, my parents told me that this is kind of old. I'm not sure though, thanks! Edit: I think it's rather good way to do such calculations without calculator. http://www.opperi.fi/02_opetusvinkkeja/jakolaskuanimaatio_keski.gif RE: HELP WITH MATH - RaccoonCity_mybb_import13707 - 11-19-2013 (11-19-2013, 06:02 PM)Slarek Wrote:(11-19-2013, 05:59 PM)Zedex Wrote:(11-19-2013, 05:57 PM)Slarek Wrote: Check this: Okay, thank you. ![]() (11-19-2013, 06:01 PM)Ex094 Wrote: This might help you out too http://www.mathsisfun.com/numbers/long-division-index.html Cool, didn't know you could do it this way. Im 29 - back in University, and i just recently had to google/youtube how to do long division and even subtraction on paper. I always hated maths and not having done any in the last decade this had me stumped! LOL RE: HELP WITH MATH - Psycho_Coder - 11-19-2013 @Zedex Be serious with maths from beginning if you wanna become a good programmer. To be a programmer you don't need a lot of math but to make a difference and make yourself way ahead then others maths is very very very important. You might understand why I am saying this but after 3-4 years you'll understand for sure. RE: HELP WITH MATH - Ex094 - 11-19-2013 If you can remember the essential concepts of Maths you are good to go RE: HELP WITH MATH - RaccoonCity_mybb_import13707 - 11-19-2013 (11-19-2013, 06:32 PM)Geoff Wrote:(11-19-2013, 05:52 PM)Zedex Wrote: Hello, I go to 7'th grade.
