Your Opinion... - Enigma_mybb_import12474 - 07-24-2013

Today the question is:Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?

There is always to something that we hold on to to. When people make connections, a chemical signal is formed in the brain which binds the mind to visual representations of a person, object, idea. The more they interact with this object, the more signals are sent to reinforce the bond formed in the mind.
Eventually, it comes to a point that it is hard to remove your presence from the person or idea simply because your mind has become so chemically attached to it, him, or her. The strongest bonds are gender.
This is the scientific view, but it is not so different from reality, is it? People rely on these connections so much that often the item or person they are bonding with become an extension of who they are. It is hard to let go of things when they have become a part of you. Often, this feels like "something inside dying."

Letting go can be one of the hardest things in the world to.But why are we scared to let go?We are afraid to let go because we are afraid of change.
We are afraid of what may lie ahead for us if we don't let go. It is often very hard to see life without the problem in it.
Sometimes we really want to let go, but just don't know how.Sometimes we are even afraid to admit that we feel negative about some things.

Quote:“It is important that we forgive ourselves for making mistakes. We need to learn from our errors and move on.”

Pain will leave you, when you let go. Does letting go mean failure?
No. To let go of something which isn't working for you is actually success.

It is recognition of what is wrong, and deciding to make your life RIGHT. It is recognition of what stifles you, in favour of new opportunities around the corner.

When we LET GO, new opportunities DO appear. But those new opportunities RARELY appear whilst we are holding on to the old, because we are holding on so tightly - we simply DO NOT SEE, what else is on offer.

Hi Enigma,

My Personal view on your thread :-

Spoiler:

Spoiler:
You said to "close your eyes, clear our heart and let it go". This is quite very difficult as whenever we close our eyes we get a rush of traffic of thoughts based on various things. The thing that you have tried to say and what you want to reveal is actually different. Whenever we close our eyes a silent and glistening ray of light or hope for someone special arises within our little heart, a picture of her appears, a portrait, a friend, love, an idol, a heavenly maiden.

Whenever I close my eyes I see her smiling with the thought that I am with her. Her every smile makes me realise that she is the reason for which I still breathe, she is the reason for my existence. I see her playing with her hairs and smiling with her eyes looking down and sometimes looking up at me and wants me to say something to her that "I love you" and taking her hairs behind the ears that fall before her eyes. She looks so beautiful as if the all the worlds heavenly maidens have pour their beauty over her and letting her enjoy the joy and and everything that has existence. I feel that if there is heaven in the world, then it is in her eyes, in her eyes, and only in her eyes. She's a deity.

What you explained in the beginning about scientific things does not apply here. This is something that science can never explain. Can science explain why someone whom we don't know at a moment becomes everything for us at the next moment? Can it explain how this thing changes us from a Zero to Hero ? Can Science explain why one becomes so passionate for someone with whom one doesn't have any blood relations ? , No, science doesn't have the answers to these question and probably it will never have. In science many theory and mathematics and relations have been proved my many great philosophers and others have improved them but the feeling you are talking about has only one theory and we don't need to explain this to anyone as one who falls for this "Love" understands the philosophy by themselves and its almost same.

In Hindi we have a proverb "Dhayi Akshar prem ke, Padhe so pandit hoye". The english translation would be "One who has read the two and half letters of love becomes a philosopher".

When a guy/gal sees another gal/guy and feels different than all others, it is then that the bond is formed between them. But the harsh fact is it is often one-sided and this hurts you a lot and something which you can't bear. Seeing them everyday in front of you and still you can't communicate and say something as you might feel that there will be a mess and seeing her taking with other guys and friends and going for movies occupies your best part for the whole day. You sometimes begin to blame your weaknesses and would long that if only you were Tony Stark or similar so that everyday would love you and care for you and then she will be yours. This is a general sense of thinking.

This bond is strong that you have them everywhere and always in your mind. You begin to dream with open eyes. When the dreams that we see with open eyes break apart, it hurts , it hurts a lot. You suddenly realise that your whole world has shrunken to Null Void. You find everything dark and the sun never rises for you with a smile and she has went so far. The night becomes scary and empty. The new morning never brings a new light of hope, not a new ray of love. You see them getting slipped away from you and you still cannot do anything. She just went away with someone else and never understood the facts. Never understood you. Never understood your love.

It is often said that "Love once and die everyday" and this is a true fact. Loving someone leaves you with nothing except a bad experience and hurt and pain in your heart. If you think this then you are wrong it does have some very good effect on you and you will realise it by yourself.

Loving someone makes you feel that they are a part of you and you don't want your part to go away as it would hurt and you will always feel the emptiness because of that part. Everything single cell of our body is important and when we love someone they reside within our heart and with each and every cell, within our soul, with ours feel. When they just move away then it really hurts as your body can soul will not be able to bear the change and it may leave a permanent effect on your personality. A little scar or cut in your finger can hurt you for a day or two. Then how it feels when someone suddenly snatches your soul and your dream and everything, where she resides away from you!, its very hard. This is the reason why we are scared to let go ?

Having the feel of love is very beautiful, you will laugh for no reason, happy for no reason, do nothing for no reason, do something for no reason, you become poetic, philosopher, you begin to love soft music, art, paint or sketch your beloved, write story's etc. etc. Loving someone is one of the best things and still it leaves you empty handed and with nothing except a heavy heart.

Thinking of her make me play my guitar and I play the "Love Story theme" for hours in a row, my finger begin to hurt and got some cuts and bleeds but still thinking of her makes us feel that we are in a fantasy world. The world where you are with your beloved and nobody will separate you from your love. Thinking of her makes me painless, everything is for her. With every note and every beat, every single music that comes out of the strings makes me love her more and she is there and my love is there in every single frequency that comes out of my guitar and I feel that she will someday be with me

These things are very bad and they hurt a lot. Being experienced I know one thing that its better to be alone and not loving anyone. Well I will stop here as if I write for here then the whole of the sky turned to paper and all the water on earth turned to ink will fall short and yet she would be unexplainable, because we cannot define the undefined and the infinite, and my love is infinite.

When a person falls for these feeling for them epsilon becomes < 0

It must be duly noted that whatever I have said is a work of fiction and the incidents are fictitious and they have no meaning in my IRL. Any resemblance is purely co-incidental

@Enigma, It is requested that you change the thread title to something more meaning full and not "Your Opinion...". As you already have a thread with the title "Your opinion...." and that has four trailing dots and this thread has three, if you continue this way then one day you will run out of dots

Thank you,

Sentient, intelligent organisms with language, creativity, emotions, needs, desires, interdependence, goodness, wickedness, love, hate and indifference. No rock knows or cares about its fate. For that matter most living organisms don't either - at least not in the same way humans do. So no matter how temporal your existence may be, it does matter to those closest to you. And it really matters to future generations (be they yours or those of your contemporaries) because everything we do, in the long run, is for them.
