Trolling Section - Balls - 03-08-2013 We need a section where we can spam and troll and post random shit that would normally be considered low quality. Obviously, the post count wouldn't go up and no AP would be earned. RE: Trolling Section - BreShiE - 03-08-2013 This is generally what the lounge is for. That's why we have both "Serious" and "Random" discussions. RE: Trolling Section - Balls - 03-08-2013 (03-08-2013, 12:31 AM)BreShiE Wrote: This is generally what the lounge is for. RE: Trolling Section - Evangelist - 03-08-2013 So the quality of the forums downgrades? I don't think it's needed. In contrast, the Serious Discussion section is for debates and discussion on science, religion, and politics. RE: Trolling Section - cxS - 03-08-2013 I don't see the point nor benefit in adding a useless section like this. Why essentially have 2 "Lounge's" with different names? Not to mention, a lounge is typically NOT meant to be the main part of the forum, so adding more emphasis on it, and encouraging activity in those areas is really against the purpose of the site. The Lounge is for general discussion. The Random Discussion section is for spamming, trolling, and stuff like that. What defines "general" discussion over "random" discussion in this sense though? The terms are so close in generalization that I think they are one in the same, even though that sub-forum acts as though is separates the Lounge discussion into various categories. I don't own this forum, but if I did, I would put more focus into the main sections, rather than catering to the Lounge, as that is meant to be a once in a while getaway place. I see it usually turn into a main attraction though, and at which point the forum just seems like a chatbox, and I lose interest. I have links to prove my experiences and observations. I am always most active on the programming sections though as that is my cup of tea. I hardly visit the Lounge, so that is as you can probably see, why I lose interest in forums that eventually sway that way. So if I post random shit that might annoy people, I won't get a warning? Just trying to clear some things up. I'm assuming yes, as long as the actions are within the boundaries of the forum's rules and guidelines/terms, as those will stay global. http://www.anarchyforums.net/misc.php?action=help&hid=8 |
