Anyone Ever Got Botox ? - jones1999 - 09-11-2014
I did 3 months ago from my doctor to control my headaches and migraines.
I do have to say that anyone that has severe headaches for over 5+ years,
lasting 2-8 hrs. daily, occurring 2 or more time a week, needs to see a specialist.
Mine have been diminished all the way down to 15%, or in my case, about 1 headache a week
and only 2 migraines a month. I get about 13 shots placed topically on my scalp and across my forehead.
It cost me $300 for the Botox, Ins. covers it and I repeat it ever 3 months.
Think this might help you, I'll get the pamphlet and contact info off of it.

Never needed it myself; I have a different set of problems. I'm diabetic, there's not much Botox can/will do for me, but I'm glad it helped you out.

That is interesting. A lot of people do it for cosmetic reasons, but it is neat that it has helped you with something other than insecurities.

That's pretty intriguing. I wasn't aware that Botox could be used for medicinal purposes. Could you describe the procedure?

It is used in the treatment to prevent and control the frequency of headaches and migraines.
Studies has shown that people that have 3 or more a week can usually benefit from the Botox Shots.
It starts with a series of 13 shots placed on your scalp and forehead. Then you repeat every 3-4 months.
My Ins. covers it because I have been a migraine sufferer for over 25 years. I'd tried Everything. G.
