Thoughts on Anonymous - Marvie - 02-07-2013 So recently I've been noticing a whole bunch of people thinking that they are "Anonymous." On skype everyone is changing their picture to something with the mask and putting in their quote "We Are Anonymous" or something of that nature. I participated in Operation Blackout, but I still do not claim to be in the group. I'm more so a supporter of the movement. I guess it's the new internet trend to pretend to be an Anonymous member to try to intimidate maybe? Whatever the reason, I think it's stupid to claim to be in, rather than to support. Leave your thoughts.. Random Thread Section - Well Used.
RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - Pyro - 02-07-2013 In my opinion, while concurring with yours, I think that Anonymous's real members remain what the name says, Anonymous. While the fake members are out for the lulz or the credit (similar to the ways of OHEKTA or UGNazi), the real members do it because they think it's right/ Just my opinion, nothing more RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - i0xIllusi0n - 02-07-2013 I don't think it's necessarily a trend. Kids just realize that the Anonymous affiliation is cool, and something you can do to be better than everybody else. They have no understanding of what true Anonymous is. More of them just trying to be better than their peers. I think that being in "Anonymous" now is something people would laugh at you about. The title is saturated, and old. Most people in "Anonymous" are just in it for the popularity, when that's not the meaning of Anonymous. Just like @Surfs said, I think the real members however are still there doing it for the sole reason it was created. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - The High Roller - 02-08-2013 Since when does being a hacker make you cool. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - Oni - 02-08-2013 It's just a fad. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - ねこまっしぐら - 02-08-2013 I wish I could be in a cool group. I have less friends so I don't socialize a lot. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - Kinanizer - 02-08-2013 I hate how my friends talk like it's an actual group. Anonymous is for skids who think they can hack, when really all they do is use others tools. I'll bet not one of them even knows how to pull up command prompt. This is a lie, I'm sure they have some common sense. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - Bannedshee - 02-08-2013 I find people who say "NONMUS SO LEET HAK GVRNMN HAK WRLD YES ANONYMOUSS" Extremely stupid. I find people who say "Anonymous is all fags and 10 year old kids" even MORE stupid. Why? Because they are extremely wrong. My point is, don't judge a book by its cover. RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - w00t - 02-08-2013 Because of Anonymous' theory of "Oh we can let anyone speak for us!" it's declined into a few cyberterrorists harnessing the power of angsty teens acting out. |
