True Value & Drug test? - Ironhide - 06-21-2014 Applying for a job at a True Value hardware store in my town, question is...do they drug test? Because I'd be 110% positive for THC every damn time. Anyone have experience that could help shed some light on my problem? I've been working part-time for 7.5 months at 2 different places (Wendy's and Food Basics) without a drug test, but it may be different if you work full-time. I don't have much experience to help you out with this, sorry. RE: True Value & Drug test? - Ironhide - 06-21-2014 (06-21-2014, 01:23 PM).Shebang Wrote: Is it a part or full-time job? I'll be working part time over the summer, may switch to full time soon. Ive worked at fast food places and for the most part they don't drug test, it's usually big name companies or factories that do. Thank you for the reply, I'm pretty confident that true value isn't the type of place that's going to waste time and money on drug tests. I worked for Walmart for a while, they tested on hire, never tested after that because I had an undetectable amount, or they didn't give a fuck. Cos I blazed about a week before the test. They may on hire just for records, and they may if you get a reportable injury on the job. RE: True Value & Drug test? - natifix - 07-31-2019 I'm a vegetarian too and often have had concerns with this. I never worked for them so can't just tell you yes or no sadly. But what I can do to help ya is encourage you to ask in a way that is inconspicuous to the intention or reason behind it... Ask about all the requirements or testing needed to be a candidate for the position. Leave out drug test specifically in your request. However, emphasize in your request about ALL tests, ask, are there any health or math tests, physicals for lifting heavy equipment, certifications etc. Guaranteed that they will tell you what you need to know right then and there. Experience may help so if this is your first or fifth job, you may not discern as well as someone who's worked for 15 employers. Communicate between the lines and sometimes you can get intel without asking for it directly. You could infer to ask about all other tests or requirements any given job could have with leaving out the drug test part, and they should still tell you there is a physical screening, or a pre employment drug test. If you have balls, just ask, do you have a pre employment drug screen. after all it is only true value hardware, its not NASA or something. Good luck if you havent already landed the job! Another tip, if you live in a state where medical and recreational 420 is legal, or relaxed in their attitudes and all, you can be open and honest and just tell them, I consume medical cbd for anxiety or whatever condition may apply. and that sometimes trace amounts of thc are included. I havent had one issue when I told my employer I smoke or dab, and that is because I am able to discern if they are the types of personality I can tell in the first place, and that they live in an area that is relaxed, or that the job was relaxed, working at TV isnt really a safety concern so you should not have to worry about testing unless you act retarded on the job and crash lawnmowers n shit like that. Basically, I always act proper but be high as fuck in the interview itself so they know it from the get go... that way they never see me with a surprise blazed glaze or something, cause Im always fucking glazed bro... and if they dont like, tell em to fuck off, get another job. OR be the slave that submits to OTHERS demands and needs. shit. You shouldnt even have to worry about this imho. Our society is fucking sad RE: True Value & Drug test? - youssef77 - 08-03-2019 They may on hire just for records, and they may if you get a reportable injury on the job. With the changing legal landscape, it's definitely bizarre. The majority of companies in legal/medical states still do testing. There are a few states that prohibit discrimination of medical users, though. Kinda shitty of em if you ask me. Major applications of drug testing include detection of the presence of performance enhancing steroids in sport, employers and parole/probation officers screening for drugs prohibited by law (such as cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin) agence SEO Paris and police officers testing for the presence and concentration of alcohol (ethanol) in the blood commonly referred to as BAC (blood alcohol content). BAC tests are typically administered via a breathalyzer while urinalysis is used for the vast majority of drug testing in sports and the workplace. Numerous other methods with varying degrees of accuracy, sensitivity (detection threshold/cutoff), and detection periods exist. But all in all you will be testedIn fact all these tests can detect the presence or absence of an illicit substance in your body. Before the competition and after and it's a good point for the sport. |
