Saddest anime - BreakR - 05-11-2014

Guys, what is the saddest anime you know of?

I'm 3/4 through the way of Bokurano, and it's slowly trumping Madoka Magica.
They are, however, a bunch of complacent idiots. Homura would kick koemushi's butt. Maybe.

Yes we need something to trump all of that

Guilt Crown was sad for a lot of reasons. Namely because they fucked up a show that had amazing amount of potential. However I will give you that there were several parts that made me feel really bad for Shu.

I'll also vouch for Clannad being one of the saddest shows I've watched. For one that makes you know that feel, Anohana.

I'll just go out and say that anything made by Key should have a warning for tear-inducing in at least one point in the series.

Im going to put Elfen Lied on the table as well as Kanon. Those two hit right in the feels.

To be honest, I couldn't really empathize that much with Elfen Lied, there was way too much emphasis on gore and limbs flying around to make it a much more sad series.
