[Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Adorapuff - 04-26-2014 News article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2612113/Shocking-footage-emerges-Russian-dad-giving-toddler-CIGARETTE-woman-heard-laughing-background.html?ito=video_player_click Link to video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiOIU9amFUQ In my opinion this whole thing is over-hyped. Everyone is making such a big deal about it, and while its not a good thing, parents give kids that age a taste of beer or wine. Its basically the same thing. Also, it doesn't look like the kids actually smoking, he's just holding it in his mouth. Others argue he shouldn't even be smoking near a toddler and Russian child protective services (as if that's a thing) should come and get him. The fact is, people do a lot worse, and we have worse things to waste time on than parents laughing over a toddler with a cig in his mouth for two minutes. I'm not saying its a good thing don't get me wrong. I just think its blown out of proportion. What are your thoughts? RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - xornull - 04-26-2014 Who are we to judge what others do, are we more clean then them? are me better then them? I've seen it too many times, something that is wicked/unusual happens and then a bunch of people who think they are high and mighty start saying how terrible it is, as if it it really matters what they think. "Oh! they should get killed for that!!! If I ever saw them in real life ill fking kill those assholes!" "OMFG!! WHAT A BAD PARENT! HE SHOULDN'T DO THAT!! HURDURR" As if the above changes a single shred of anything. Sure, this is a bad idea, but does crying about it really going to change anything? RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - superMAUS - 04-26-2014 the problem is if they are going to allow that and video tape it, what else are they going to do? RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Cake - 04-26-2014 It's not going to effect the kid at all. He put smoke in his mouth and blew it out. RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Pr0Wolf29 - 04-27-2014 It does seem over-hyped, but I don't think giving kids tobacco products is a good idea. RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Satan - 04-27-2014 Bad idea for the future, but its not going to harm him any more than the second hand smoke will, sooooo... [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Adorapuff - 04-27-2014 I feel like people just get so hyped about stupid shit, like the house is burning down (Russia), and they are worried about saving the doormat. RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - cr33pyguy - 04-28-2014 Of course it's not good for the kid. But then again, lots of things aren't, and we still do them. Russian child protective services are a thing. They can't act full out because of the russian toleration mentality; they'll last it out and come out tough. I'm not quite sure that the things are so much better in the hands of the child services though
RE: [Discussion] Russian dad gives toddler a cig - Pheonix - 04-28-2014 First though: Maybe it was like a parent giving their child a taste of beer just so they can have the experience. After watching the video: If on the |actual video| the mother was laughing in the background, I truly feel sorry for this kid in his future.
