[Ddos Problems] - Flareon - 03-29-2014

Hello Sinisterly Community,

I am encountering some problems with a few individuals hitting me offline and they appear to be getting my IP. Keep in mind I have a dynamic router and although I am resetting it yet they're still managing to get my IP.

What I am asking is, is there any way to prevent them getting my IP address or stopping the attacks coming in at all.

Any help appreciated.

@Staff - If this may be in the wrong section, I am sorry and feel free to move it to the correct place.

It's likely they are resolving you via Skype.

RE: [Ddos Problems] - Bannedshee - 03-29-2014

Step 1: make sure skype doesnt run on start up, if it does, disable that
Step 2: restart computer
Step 3: Go to vpnbook.com or buy a VPN
Step 4: close everything, browsers, games, steam, etc
Step 5: get on VPN
Step 6: See if they can still get your skype

I have deleted my old Skype and changed it completely. I haven't given it to anybody.

If you have a dynamic IP just reset your router.

Or maybe don't do the thing you did to piss them off in the first place! Wink

Well for starters you could try and hop on a proxy, that might work. Secondly, shut down everything that you use to connect to the internet and then restart your router(so that way you have a new IP). Then from there, you should probably stay away from things like Steam, Origin, Miniclip pool, Skype, Teamviewer or anything else they could pull your IP from.

As Bannedshee said, try getting on a VPN. If they manage to pull your IP after that, they're probably wizards.
If you don't mind me asking, what'd you do to piss them off? Haha.

If they're resolving you through skype you could try disabling port 443 and 80 for skype and have it use other ones in the options. Also disallow incoming connections from people who aren't on your contacts list.

I was staff on a private server for a game, they were treating me like shit so I scammed them for $500 and left.

Just so you know, I have never scammed before and I did it for the 8 months of work I put in without recognition.

Last time I checked, this forum had a sub-forum specifically for SE.

Why anyone would condemn you for it, I don't know. I know people who SE as a profession, and boy, what with the amount of incoherent people on the internet these days, business is booming.
