Apparently it wasn't due to legal issues, although he said that he couldn't do it anymore. He might have boosted downloads or something, considering the game has been out since April but has only recently gotten big.

What for though? Even if he did, he was racking in so much money per day. He could easily purchase some extremely good lawyers to help him out.
I think that some spoiled little brat got her dad to pay him $$$ to remove the APP since she raged.

I read that he was getting death threats, but he was making so much profit that it's doubtful he would do such a thing due to what many game creators experience probably nearly every day.
