This tutorial is brought to you the group Superior.

It is not a very complex tutorial, but I feel as though it gets the point across.


Step #1 -

• For this I used a grey background, the colour code was #333.
  
• You can use any font you want, write anything I did it in black.
  
• Make a new layer, select the brush tool make sure you are using the default, hard brush, and hold shift to make the line straight then just go down making a line not too big, make sure it is longer than the height of the text though also if you are using black text then make the brush line white, then create a clipping mask with the brush layer over the text, so the white line will only show when its over the text.

Step #2 -

• Make sure you have timeline enabled, you can do this by going to the bar at the top of photoshop, go to Windows - Timeline then it will be enabled at the bottom of the screen.
  
• Now make sure the brush layer is right at the start of the text, and make sure the brush layer is selected and have the tool selected which you use to move objects, now at the bottom on the timeline, there will be a icon which looks like the new layer icon, click that and then press the right arrow key on your keyboard to move the brush layer along one, and keep clicking the icon like new layer and then moving one space to the right, keep doing that until the end of the text then you are done.
