I started smoking because I was hanging with my GF at the time, I hopefully stopped few years ago.
I wanted to know was it a social behaviour mimic also for you?

I was like 6yrs old when my friend from kindergarden stole 2 ciggs from his father. I miss those times when me as a kid had to find ways to get some cigarettes;Dd

I started social smoking with friends, which ended up becoming a full-blown habit.
It's been 15 years since I've quit (not a single puff), and I feel better than ever.

Friends/family were smokers so I started around highschool. Messy habit, ruins your lung capacity. Easier to quit once you acknowledge the toll its taken.
It's been a few years and I don't miss it. I have one friend who smoked 20+ years, couldn't quit until he got diagnosed with lung cancer.

He's probably got until Christmas at best, unless the chemo works out.
