Re-Introducing SFX. - Cake - 08-02-2013

I'm a pretty old member here on DiscussionZone (User #182)
A while ago I had gotten into an argument with Blue but since has been resolved and put behind us. I doubt anyone other than some of the old fags such as myself know who I am but I can actually say I still do like this forum and blue has done a very good job on it.

I just joined today so I don't know you but welcome back!

I noticed your tag-line says "visual effects". Do you do vfx as in video editing?

Yes, I do VFX.

Nice edits there.

I do it too, but I mainly do it for real life projects like filmmaking.

What programs you using?

What programs you using?
I use SonyVegas Pro 11 for my Velocity and Pan/Crop.
From there I render it as an uncompressed .avi file and put it into adobe after effects. From there I render it again as .avi (uncompressed) and use handbrake on it. Also I edit at 300-1500 fps clips.

Nice, must be a pain in the ass to render though if you're working with clips with those frame rates. I never knew HDPVR's recorded at above 60fps...

I edit PC. It takes 300 screenshots of the game every second (via AVI Demo) then I have them put into a .avi file at the fps I recorded at. Also rendering doesn't take long at all when you have 16gb of corsair vengeance, FX 8350, and 2 Radeon HD 7870 ghz editions. Smile
