Increase signature max characters for Updraded users - Green314 - 08-19-2022

These are the current settings for the Signature.
Quote:Smilies are On.
MyCode is On.
[img] tags are On.
HTML is Off.
Max. length is 355 characters.

Every user has the same configurations (except the Staff who can exceed those limits). I propose to give more length to users who Upgraded reaching at most 500 characters, otherwise it would become too long. I would like to also point out that BB-code formula are also counted as "characters" in the signature, so you can imagine that using a lot of BB-codes formula can quite fast reduce the amount of text you can write on the signature.

This is a good suggestion! I'm all up for some more perks for those that upgrade. Which upgrade would you suggest this be part of though?

I don't know from what Upgrade grant this. Let's first agree all together that it may be interest to implement.

Unless you're wanting to leave an entire poem in your signature, I'm not sure what the point is. I can make it 500, but there does need to be a hard limit (for everyone).

It's not for writing poems, is that BB-codes eat a lot of characters.
And regard the hard limit for anyone (500 ch) I agree with you.

I'm not entirely against it for upgraded members. That would be a cool addition to the benefits of an upgrade, but I'd be wary of what that ends up actually looking like on the board.

Here, I'm trying to make my signature looking cool and simple with BB-codes emphasize the text but I can't change it because I'm exceeding the limit. As you can see two-thirds of my signature are simply BB-codes for editing the style of the text.

Given the BB code Is Impacting the limit, I support this suggestion.
