Same here.

Who's your favorite artist?

RE: What is the best coding-music? - Skullmeat - 12-28-2021

Synthwave is pretty good for that kinda thing.

RE: What is the best coding-music? - convector - 12-28-2021

Mine depends on my mood, or what I do. If its just my average day, all goes to metal (specifically black-metal, progressive metal, nu-metal, industrial metal, or whatever I get my hands on as long as its metal).

If its about finishing a deadline, I listen to electronic music, synth-wave, progressive metal, or anything that is fast. I can listen to rap also sometimes. Lol.

RE: What is the best coding-music? - Shionari - 12-28-2021

I suppose it would all depend on my mood. If I'm just feeling calm, then it would be piano music and a few anime soundtracks. If I'm feeling particularly well or particularly down, then it's metal & rock. Can turn to rap or EDM sometimes as well Smile

That being said, it's nice to find fellow metal fans, so I am curious to hear about your and @mothered's favorite artists. Maybe @convector can chime in as well?  Biggrin I personally don't have one, but my all-time favorite song is "Horizons" by Parkway Drive.

Yes, I can understand that.
Funny is, there is also "happy metal" - freedom call is for example such a band..and that actually helps sometimes. Smile
If you don't like hard metal, I would recommend power metal. If you are interested in good bands just let me know Smile

Metallica.

As said In my previous post, I enjoy old-school (heavy) metal bands, so you probably haven't come across those listed.

Old school recognize new school. You guys have great taste!

I'm currently listening to a "jams" playlist of deathcore, metalcore, hardcore, electronic death, etc. Heavy metal makes me work better, whatever it is.

Notable:
  • Beartooth
  • Dayseeker
  • The Browning
  • Wage War
  • We Came as Romans
  • Like Moths to Flames
  • Chevelle

But my next playlist contains much heavier things:
  • Rob Zombie
  • Gojira
  • Spiritbox
  • Memphis May Fire
  • The Plot in You
  • Motionless in White
  • Bullet for my Valentine
  • Palisades
  • August Burns Red

Respectable, well established bands. I'm more into new generation stuff, but I'd like to get into those someday as well Smile

What do you mean, I love hard metal. My metal playlist is almost entirely metalcore, along with some melo-death and a few songs from other genres. I absolutely love bands like Breakdown Of Sanity, old Parkway Drive, Shadow Of Intent, August Burns Red... I do listen to some power metal as well. Machinae Supremacy, don't know if you've heard of them? they're nice Smile
I'm always open to discovering new music, too. If you've got good bands to recommend, I'm all ears Tongue

I respect the Wage War, Spiritbox and August Burns Red choices. You, sir, have a good taste in music Smile I would recommend Fit For A King and Imminence as well, off the top of my head. If you like Wage War and Spiritbox, you're gonna love those Tongue
