How to make a smudge signature - DaemonSic - 11-28-2012 ~INTRODUCTION~
Hi guys. Welcome to my first tutorial here related on GFX. I will show you how to create smudge tutorial that looks like this. This tutorial is for those that just began making signatures. And smudge signatures look great, so I hope you will like this tutorial. I have used PS CS5. ~1st step~
Open Photoshop and create 400x150 file. Then load your render. Make 1 copy of your render. You will use your first render to make background, and second one for focal(render, main thing in PS). Stretch your first render used for background, until there is no empty space. If your render is too small, then make more copies of that render, and put one behind another. It will look like this.~2nd step~ First, merge all your background renders buy selecting them(ctrl + click on that layer), and then click Ctrl+e. That will make your backgorund layers into one layer. Its time to smudge. Choose smudge tool. Then click F5. You will get a window where you will change settings of your smudge. Here are the settings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ~3rd step~
Place some textures on the background. I prefer "star" textures. Change the textures mode to Screen and set opacity around 50%. It will look somehow like this with textures. ~4th step~
We will now add a render. Do not place it in the center, place it left or right, but not to right or left, it should be on sides, close to center. After you added it in a nice position, you will need to smudge its edges so it would fit nice with the background. It will look kinda like this. ~5th step~
Use a 300px soft black brush to add shadow on sides. ![]() ![]() ![]() ~6th step~
Its time to add gradients. ![]() ![]() Looks nice, right? ![]() ~7th step~
We will sharpen the signature. Create a new layer. Then click Ctrl+Shift+Alt+E, or you can go to Image->Apply Image. Then go to Filter->Sharpen->Sharpen. It will look like this. ~Finished~
Thats it, we have finished. God, I am tired from writing :oui: Now, you can make your own smudge signatures, or play with more thing in PS, and create better signatures. NOTE: This is for those who just started creating creating signatures in PS, so I would like if no one would troll or hate. RE: How to make a smudge signature - Anonymous - 12-08-2012 Can I ask why you charge people for this, then turn around and show people how to do it? I wrote this tutorial a long time ago, and I have no problem when I share it for free. But when members want me to make them a signature of something, then I will charge them. Why? Well, I am MAKING it. That's why I charge it. RE: How to make a smudge signature - Anonymous - 12-08-2012 LOL, So basically your going to charge the lazy users right? |
