Star Wars: Visions - Jiggly - 08-19-2021 Star Wars: Visions has been announced by Disney and trailers have been released! For those of you who love Star Wars and Anime, check this out. Disney has contracted 6/7 Japanese animation studios to create 9 short films. Each film is it's own, independent story. These stories aren't necessarily cannon, but Disney have given the studios the creative freedom to tell their stories how they want to, through the lens of the Star Wars universe. Check out the trailer below: Here's a bit more insight for those who want to know a little more about the studios and have some more sneak peaks: RE: Star Wars: Visions - Accident Man - 08-19-2021 This has a huge amount of potential. RE: Star Wars: Visions - Oni - 08-19-2021 Really interested in this. Mandalorian was pretty good. I really love that they've let these studios sort of do what they want. I suspect we're going to like some short stories more than others. A bit like Black Mirror or Ballad of Buster Scrubs. Disney tends to be pretty abrasive when it comes to its "magical kingdom". Hopefully they don't rub off on Visions too much. Mandalorian worked out, but I am still mad they axed Gina Carano. I might not be a huge fan of Disney's latest marketing and business practices, but I am a fan of projects like this. RE: Star Wars: Visions - cyberblack1 - 09-03-2021 I feel like its coming out new star wars related stuff every month now? RE: Star Wars: Visions - Accident Man - 09-03-2021 Here are the studios creating episodes, by the way - 9 episodes in total, I will not note down the titles in case anyone wants to go in a bit more blind. To be honest, so far as I'm aware, they kind of are. There's a massive output across games/TV/movies. Disney is investing in this franchise. Awesome! Thank you for this! I'm not too well-versed in anime studios/directors etc but I know some people really like trying shows out from the same studio. |
