The Funimation blog — which helpfully notes that its service is the place where you can stream the original anime — points out an Instagram post from Faye Valentine actress Daniella Pineda where she revealed filming has wrapped. Beyond Cho and Pineda, Mustafa Shakir is playing Jet Black, and other cast members were announced on Twitter last fall.

The cast for the show is pretty diverse, which is bizarre. I have low expectations, so I guess I'll be hard to disappoint.

I kinda of like the actor for Spike, from other stuff he's been in. However, I'm really not sure about the fact he is Spike of all people. Also, the other cast members make me nervous. I'm trying to without too much expectation until I see it.

I remember when live action was originally discussed, people thought Keanu Reeves would be Spike. Weirdest decision is Mustafa Shakir as Jet, but only because Jet is canonically white.
