Elon Musk's net worth has now reached $185 billion after Tesla's share price rose on Thursday.

Mr Musk's electric car company Tesla has surged in value this year, and hit a market value of $700bn (£516bn) for the first time on Wednesday.
That makes the car company worth more than Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, GM and Ford combined.

I think I mostly just like his character. Whenever he's interviewed about being the richest man or most successful blah blah blah, you see he's actually just super passionate about his projects. That man loves his work. Possibly too much xD

I read this yesterday.
He's just ahead of Jeff Bezos, whose net worth Is $184 billion. It'll be Interesting to see whether Tesla’s share price continues to grow, thereby gradually keep pushing Elon further ahead.

In fairness, their wealth is pretty much dictated by their companies share prices, right?
I believe Tesla eventually want to release a $25,000 model (reaching a wider audience) so it will be interesting to see what happens if they really do that.

As per my previous post, his net worth surpassed Jeff Bezos due to the Increase of Tesla’s share price, so I'm assuming his other shares didn't have the same Impact to place Elon as the wealthiest man. I'm not too familiar with shares, so correct me If I'm wrong.

Yes, that's right. Tesla is in the spotlight now, but I would not forget from such a company as Space X. The impact of space in the global economy will only grow. And successful companies will add value in the same way they did with railways a century ago.

I completely agree. SpaceX is also working on their Starship (yes they actually called it that lol). Once that has passed a lot of the testing stages and starts moving actual humans, I think Elon will see some serious interest in SpaceX from everyone.
