The corona virus. - Charline - 10-09-2020

What are your thoughts when it comes to this corona virus thing.

Do you think it should be taken more serious then already or do you think they should just calm down?

RE: The corona virus. - Prodigy - 10-11-2020

they should be more serious and not dive into those conspiracy theories

When people say "more serious", we've already got travel bans and many locations require a mask by law. It's up to people to prioritize their own health/safety, and sadly many don't.

I think people should take it more seriously. It makes me sad to see so many ignorant people and the contribution they are committing.

I honestly think after the elections are over they will start lowering the security stances on covid.

If measures (as per our current state) were Implemented right from the get-go, then we wouldn't be In this predicament.

i really dislike people calling it "coronavirus", there isnt only one, i prefer when its mentioned as Covid-19 or Sars-cov-2

that aside, people in the uk normally does care a bit about the pandemic, however theres also a large portion of people such as people thinking its something the government has planned or "roadmans" not caring, been to east london in a shopping mall quite a few times lately and i would say a good 30% of people did not have a mask whatsoever.

Ive also had that one experience last week in the underground that someone clearly had the covid-19 (or had severe symptoms of it) that caused the train to be stopped and sent to being cleaned, that person also wasnt wearing a mask and people were genuienly scared

I do not mind people who think or believe this is some staged 'way' of achieving some new world order GOAL, what i do care about is that regardless of the source and everything we should as rational humans take care of ourselves and work on what we got, and what we got is a virus that could be fought with rationality and some Hygiene , if you hate Governs for it idc, just dont act invincible and help spread it ! (meant for those who are saying its a conspiracy and do not actually care about their or other people health)

I think your summary is really accurate to my experience around the UK as well. Though most people do care, it's not enough. It only takes the 30% to ruin it for all. The footage from some of the yobs going out getting drunk is embarrassing as well.

I can't believe that countries (my own included) are willing to bow to abject tyranny like this. People are literally begging for some guy they probably don't like to tell them exactly how to live their lives.
Mask mandates are even worse. People are walking around wearing those bacteria infested breeding grounds that are cloth masks, and the ones using surgical masks NEVER change them. Those things need to be changed
1. At least every 4 hours
2. The moment it's contaminated (you cough, someone else does around you, etc)
3. Every time you touch it (take it off to smoke, need to adjust it, leave the store and take it off, etc)

I feel like by blowing this out of proportion we're only prolonging it and making it worse.
