[Help] - My (old) HP laptop does not boot (blank screen, caps lock blinking) - miso - 09-30-2020

ive attempted to fix my old laptop because i was bored, and i actually suceeded at that, however at one point it blue screened and while it was processing it, the charger unplugged itself (i was trying to move it) & it is now not showing anything and Caps Lock is blinking (3 blinks & loops), heres the things i tried:

Code:
- Booting with & without a battery (before the blue screen error happened, it was running without it)
- Pressing Power+Win+B to access BIOS (didnt work)
- Power Reset (Didnt work)

i cannot clean the ram since it is directly on the motherboard.

i still have another laptop, which is the one i normally do my cracks with, however my old laptop is actually way faster than my current one (my old one has a "slow" i7 while my current one has a celeron).

Anyone has an idea on how to fix that problem.

I assume you took It out and placed It back, or perhaps replaced It?

I assume you took It out and placed It back, or perhaps replaced It?

uhhh i don't know, it now doesn't boot anymore and i don't have the CMOS problem anymore, ive swapped the small battery inside my laptop, after that, nothing shows on the screen anymore, even when i putted the original battery back :/

So no power on at all? I have a vague memory of a similar issue with a laptop that wouldn't power on and apparently this is a common issue and I cannot remember the fix. I'll try and remember what it was.

there is power, but nothing shows on the screen and it shuts down after a few seconds

Hmmm. Could be a drive issue. Does it POST at all?

Before you did this, was the screen functioning as per normal?
