Nasa SpaceX launch - Jiggly - 05-23-2020

It has been 9 years since the last launch of humans into space, from US soil. For those 9 years, the US has been paying Russia tens of millions of dollars to launch astronauts via their Soyuz shuttle.

Now, Space X and Boeing have won the NASA contract for transporting crew.

What is SpaceX?
Code:
SpaceX is an American company that provides commercial and government launch services on its Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets. Entrepreneur Elon Musk founded the company in 2002, with the goal of reducing space transportation costs, enabling the colonisation of Mars. SpaceX was the first private company to routinely return rocket stages to Earth under propulsive power so they could be re-flown rather than being discarded. It has been conducting regular flights of cargo to the ISS, and will now aim to begin launching astronauts. Musk's company is also developing a bigger spacecraft to carry humans - called Starship - which could begin the process of settling Mars.

This Is so exciting. I've made a mental note to keep up with all the latest developments.

This part Is truly amazing.
Quote:What if something goes wrong during the launch?

The Crew Dragon has a built-in abort system, designed to save the lives of its crew in the event of an emergency. If there's a problem during lift-off, such as a rocket engine cut-off, the Crew Dragon will fire engines to propel the vehicle and its occupants free of the rocket. The capsule will then parachute down to safety. SpaceX successfully conducted a test of its in-flight abort system on 19 January 2020.

After polluting the planet, humans polluting space ... we are toxic to nature

Uniforms are pretty fancy (1962 vs SpaceX):

The Tesla Roadster they sent into space is still out there:

That's why engineers are developing reusable launch systems. Look at SpaceX Falcon 9.

And It's progressively getting worse as the years go by.

I'm very excited to watch the live stream. It has always been a dream of mine to be an astronaut.

Also imagine bringing the virus in the ISS. Zipped

That's why engineers are developing reusable launch systems. Look at SpaceX Falcon 9.

The takeoff of a rocket consumes a lot of energy and more lam onter of dust which is created that pollutes a lot.
So using a reusable rocket it does not change anything at each takeoff it will consume as much energy.
We do not have to make a new rocket but by dint of reusing a rocket it will be damaged.

Spacex on send satellites into space which again polishes space.
The earth and already surrounded by satellite and space waste.

Exactly and it will never change, except if we stop now to evolve technologically but it will make all collapse.

I love it!
I am a huge fan of Elon Musk, a super smart dude that gets other smart people to work together to create extraordinary things!
Elon is revolutionizing the world as we know it.

Given that SpaceX is an Elon Musk venture, I believe the technology will become more economical as it develops.

As for climate change right now, I don't think these changes will happen in time. But, I would also argue a singular space launch is nothing compared to the pollution we individually contribute to, due to our way of life. Unless you live sustainably in a forest, it's a bit hypocritical to judge a space launch.
