At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - hacxx - 03-18-2020 ![]() Due to bad news with coronavirus outbreak the price of bitcoin has dropped its value below $5000. It didnt hit the last time low of march of 2019 which was around $3000 but is good time to invest in this asset. Keep in mind that bitcoin will hardly hit the $20000 like it did in December of 2018 but will go up when Facebook Libra goes live as this will create interest in people wanting to invest in crypto. Bitcoin hit around $7000 per unit when Facebook make public that they will create its own crypto coin called Libra and that their services (ads, etc) will use Libra as way of payment. Im not a trader nor should you trust my word for it but i know that when Libra goes live, people will start buying bitcoin and this will make bitcoin value to go up once again. Keep in mind that bitcoin could go up before Libra announcement for any other reason for example if there is a abnormal purchase of bitcoin by exchangers, traders, etc... RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - Drako - 03-18-2020 I've already bought some Bitcoin myself. All markets are a roller coaster right now though. But I would say go for it. As long as nothing drastic happens with coronavirus, we should be fine. RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - Oni - 03-18-2020 It's all speculation, but I would agree. Investing in things that are low isn't a bad strategy. Could say the same for cruise/airline stocks, unless you believe Coronavirus will outlast summer. RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - @bcd3 - 03-18-2020 do you think the chinese mining operations will bounce back, or is it time for another country to take over mining the worlds btc? I will buy when I have extra money on friday. today looks like wall st is taking a dive while crypto is holding steady/inching up RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - mothered - 03-19-2020 (03-18-2020, 09:22 PM)Oni Wrote: unless you believe Coronavirus will outlast summer. I believe It will. It's getting worse day by day. In my country, we're struggling to buy the bare necessities. Supermarkets are out of stock of much-needed commodities. Also, many companies are cutting back staff due to the risk of Infection. I really don't know, China will probably stay as the leading country in mining bitcoin as bitcoin is all economical now. The decentralized thing of bitcoin is long gone as it needs a lot of power to pump up mining and it require a large set of hardware to become sustainable. In case that more than 50% of those miners farm move away from China to another country, other country may take the lead but i don't see that happening as it needs a lot of electricity to feed those hungry setups. Also this consumption of electricity tend to dry natural resources and i think that not everyone approve that lightly. RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - uranium - 04-14-2020 I don’t know much about cryptocurrency, but I want to think that it seems like a good investment. For a long time I’ve been hearing about it from my friends, social networks, articles. So it got me thinking. Maybe I should involve myself in this area, get to know it better. Who knows, maybe I’ll get rich and look back and say “yes, that was a good decision”. But still, I feel a fear inside me, maybe an instinct, maybe reason. I don’t know. There are, as I found out, sites like https://cryptohead.io/ that can help you in giving some information, guidance. Maybe I should try it. I’ll by myself a boat if I get rich. RE: At this low, is time to buy bitcoin? - hacxx - 04-14-2020 Yes, North Korea is selling Uranium as a bargain using crypto. This is concerning! Is this due to panic buying or are suppliers not able to provide as they normally would? We've been very fortunate - the grocery stores stocks are leveling out very well. Though, we have had a massive increase in alcohol purchases, which is causing stocks of alcohol to decrease. Thankfully, not a necessity. On topic: This seems like a great idea actually. Risks are always involved with investments in bitcoin, but I'd argue they're within reason during these times. |
