Have you ever had to cut gaming short because you suddenly felt really sick? Like when you're feeling travel sick?

I find that games where the "camera" angle is that of a handheld camera or from 1st person view, make me feel immensely nauseous after 30-45 mins of play. I tried to watch Oni play watchdogs too which made me feel intensely ill even though that isn't a handheld style as far as I remember... It's very frustrating to have to stop playing and I wondered if anyone else experiences this and knows good ways of subduing the nausea?

Here's an article I found about it: Link
Haven't heard much on it. I know it sucks.
When I was a lot younger (and sometimes now, though rare) I used to have to cut my session short due to a problem where my screen would twist and turn all over and felt like I was getting extremely dizzy. Never really looked into it, but I guess it went away with age.
This has never happened to me before, and I've played Watch Dogs. Perhaps it was because you were watching him play it rather than playing it for yourself. The same as you would get car sickness while being a passenger, while the driver does not get sick.

I'm pretty sure I would get it whilst playing too. It's to do with the brain taking in the information about seeing movement but confusion because the inner ear (the part in your ears that deal with balance) is not sensing anything. According to the article it may be due to the concept of being poisoned. The body may think it is hallucinating because something dodgy was eaten and the nausea is the body's way of trying to throw it back up. People have been known to be physically sick from it. I was almost sick from watching that film Echo because it's all handheld footage. I refused to stop watching it though xD
The confusion (nausea) effect in Minecraft was my worst encounter.
Try playing games like Descent... those make me sick, and I don't usually get motion sickness.
