I fucking hate new age rap. Its fucking shit, i really hope it isnt just me. I prefer listening to old school Mobb Deep, NWA, Wu Tang Clan, Tupac, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Biggie Smalls, LL Cool J. Shit like that, i hate shitty rap now a days. Is lil wayne and drake even classified as rap? Fuck no, at least in my book.
I understand what you're saying, and I'm more of a Parkway Drive, Weezer, Chevelle, Black Sabbath kinda guy, I do enjoy some "rap" here and there, I listen to Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa, the more hip hop kinda rappers.

Tupac will always be the only old-school rapper I enjoy.
Yeah - old school far better

Straight Outta Compton was ground breaking
You're delusional if you think that any of the "old school" rappers you mentioned demonstrated this level of lyricism.

I mean really, why are you letting a few retards give the whole era a bad name.

I get what you mean. Stuff like this is subjective though, and you can still find some of the old styles/talents from older hiphop in todays music. It's just harder to find. Have you heard GKMC?
Yeah, out with the old (rap) and in with the dubstep.

If Dr. Fake and Lil Gayne aren't considered rappers in your book, then why note them in this thread?

If GKMC is hard to find, then God help this "rap fan".

Kendrick Lamar is great, it's a shame I don't hear him on the radio often as I do.

I like to believe that old age and new age rap both have their gems and compost piles. Recent rap is still hard to judge because of all the new content that always gets released. The thing is, even if we hate it, the general public loves it.
