Thank you, if it is anything you dislike about this, please let me know!
I don't like the fact that the "Teen Norway" part is closer to the logo than the "Neriou Simen Amundsend" one. It's pretty clean though and not one of those ugly cod ones.

Well.. I though it would be fitting, as it was more of a listing really. But thanks for the feedback, non the less.. ;3
Neriou and Simen Amundsen don't line up. Make it so!
That arrow looks like it's lifted from Windows 8. Very similar. Might want to change it? It's too bold anyway, so I would make it thinner or remove it entirely and just have the subtext (properly aligned, of course).
Teen Norway is somewhat unnecessary and clutters an otherwise clean and sleek design. I would remove it or move it into the corner and shrink it. The whole thing isn't centered, which looks nice, apart from the bar at the bottom. The text in that bar isn't centered, which bothers me, but I'm not sure if there's a solution.
There's a bunch of negative space on the left. It looks like there's something in the background over there, but I can't really see it. If there is something there, make it visible, and if not, add something. I would add laurel wreaths in a low opacity soft light, or something. Just fill the space with something that adds value.

Overall, it's okay but you've made a few small errors. Correct them, and it will look much more professional. Nice colours. The biggest problem is the negative space; not good on a banner. Fill it Smile

I don't like it when everything is properly aligned, it makes it look to ordered and boring. Which is why it isn't aligned properly at some places. The text in the bar was placed there for the same reason. Now, that is personal opinion, so it really depends. But I'll just go over to the other "problem" here.

The empty space is there because most of it is covered up by the avatar in Youtube and the empty places are almost not visible, unless you use a TV screen to browse the internet, which so few do. The background also has a pattern to the background, which was meant to drag away from an metro theme and over to something a tad more creative.

The arrow that you commented to be from Windows 8, well there is a reason for that. I love the Windows Metro design a lot, and when I made the arrow I modeled it out from that.

( Almost the entire left side would be covered by the avatar, adding more would make it look messy. )

Thanks for the feedback.

Stop being stubborn. If you post in RMG, you should accept and use the feedback you get, whether or not it's positive or negative. On every thread I've ever seen from you (right back to one of your first posts on the forum) you have completely denied in every case that there is anything at all wrong with your design, shooting down everybody who tries to suggest improvements. Embrace the criticism. You will never truly improve otherwise.

You NEED to align your sub-text. You've gone for a Windows 8 style look, which is extremely clean. You CANNOT leave your text unaligned in such a modular style. It is graphical heresy, and a basic mistake.

As for the background, I don't think you understand. Soft light is subtle, and with reduced opacity it would be even less visible. A big laurel wreath covering the left of the design would not impede your profile picture (especially if you lined them up so it fitted perfectly) and would look heroic, and fill the space. Try it out?

I'd still ditch the arrow. It's unnecessary. I suppose that's down to personal preference.

Stubborn? Who's being stubborn, its not my fault that people don't like to be either corrected or to get a reply to their feedback. All I did was say why it looked like it looked, simply because the "tips" you gave would be pointless and if I just said they would be that without and explanation, you would most likely be upset like you are now. I am allowed to have my own opinion, am I not? You are basically saying that I should allow EVERYONE else to share their opinion, while I am not allowed to share mine. I do take the feedback, and I do learn from it, that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything a person says, now does it? If you think what I am doing is "shooting down" others and "complaining" about feedback, then you and everyone else that think so are beyond wrong. I love to lose in a game, I love to get back feedback, I love to experience something negative, you want to know why? Because if no one pointed out the negatives, or if nothing negative happened, we would never improve and we would only stay at one spot. Which is boring.

Now, I didn't go with a Windows 8 Design, I never stated, nor did I hint towards it. Dunno where you got this from, since the Logo, Background pattern and fonts go against that. Meaning that the only reason you could base that off, would be the arrow. Which we both agree is up to personal opinion.

Oh and I am leaving the left side of the picture ( between the avatar and the text/logo ) open for something, most likely a picture. However, the size is so small that I might just leave it open. Its barely enough space for anything at all.

Just one more little thing to say, the first person to give me feedback on this, which was Cyan. Gave me purely good feedback, and I replied to him, asking for negative feedback if he had any. Now, if I couldn't take to get negative feedback, would I ever asked directly out for it? Honestly...

Quoting Soup, one of the best graphic designers around:
Quote:Has ugly graphics and can't take basic critiscm.

Look, another thread by you where you proceed to systematically shoot down all non-positive feedback: http://www.discussionzone.net/showthread...9#pid30789

And again (blaming my screen for your bad rendering? Really?)
http://www.discussionzone.net/showthread...4#pid30444

...again...

Look, the point is that you need to grow up. I am not 'mad' because I don't frequent this forum and I'm not the one being stupidly overprotective of their design.

You are stubborn. You flatly denied that there was any merit in my feedback, and also made no reference to including any of my suggested alterations in an updated version. As far as you're concerned, your design is totally flawless, and nothing can possibly improve it. This shows your immaturity. You cannot ever have a perfect design. Yours is far from it. Grow up. Stop pretending that you can take negative feedback on board. You have never altered any of your designs after any feedback to my knowledge. Therefore, you're either in a dreamworld, or you're lying. Either way, you need to pull yourself together, realise you're not Picasso, and actually listen to what those who come to help you have to say rather than being dogmatic and unpleasant.

Your style is inherently Windows 8. It doesn't matter what you were aiming for. You have used a clean, monotone design with elements and fonts similar to Windows 8. It therefore looks, unsurprisingly, like Windows 8. Again, you're either in a dreamworld or you're lying to yourself.

In short- I genuinely do not care about you or your YouTube banner. However, your responses prove that you're not going to go far on YouTube. You need to be a people person, and have the ability to take criticism which is far harsher than any you've ever received on DZ. You seemingly do not have the maturity to be/do either of those things. I came to help, not to become embroiled in a pointless argument about your emotional makeup.

I don't want your thread to get spammed (as I'm sure you don't), so kindly take your grievances to PM with me, where I'll try to help you out.
