Ever listen to Freddie Gibbs? Definitely in my top 3 favorite rappers. He just did a LA Leakers freestyle. If you like it, you'd probably like his music (first 3 albums were all fire);

I've been on an Electroswing kick lately. Parov Stelar is solid;

Tory Lanez - Forever is my favorite in the past week or so;

Warm Brew is worth a listen, here's something newer;

Tame Impala is great for a smoother vibe (probably my favorite newer band as well);

Not sure what genre you're looking for, but I tried to judge based on your original post and something you may have not heard of before / not too far out there. I listen to everything from Rap, Hardcore metal, country, electronic, acoustic, etc. Feel free to hmu anytime with a genre and I'll give you some songs/artists.
