AIM. It's the equivalent to using Myspace. It's only used now because e-thugs enjoy having an original AIM handle to use. It's no longer 2006.

Yeah. Not sure why people have been using it more lately. Most people use MSN/Skype.

I use XMPP only because that's what most of my friends use, but I think it would be pretty sick if you made an IRC channel! I would join it lol.

Both AIM and Skype suck, but Skype is a necessary evil (too many people use it to ignore it.)
AIM is dying and you'd do well to contribute to that death.

I've suggested IRC to Anar before and he declined. XMPP would be okay I suppose, but no OTR in group chats.

Not exactly. In fact, I wanted to change to IRC but it wasn't received very well. As you say, Skype is a necessary evil.
