I personally think the world would be better off without religion because It could stop many conflicts and wars and be the road to world peace

Not at all, I love my religion and we have the right to believe anything we'd like.

Hmm I thought I posted on this before.
Apparently I have not.
But yea, the world would be better without religion and it would solve many problems.
Although it is probably impossible to stop at the position it is at now.
Whoop Whoop?

Yep, without religion, there would be much less hatred, although probably not less wars. People always seem to find something to declare war over, but I personally think this place would be better without religion. It is an outdated concept, and like all outdated concepts, should be removed.

I'm with somerandomlad.
Religion was our first attempt to answer all of the "whys" and "hows" that we had about the world. Sure, it has outgrown its usefulness now, but I think it is reasonable to assume that without it, we wouldn't be as advanced as we are now.
Also, wars would most certainly still be waged even if every religion were to vanish right now. You don't need to be religious to hate another group of people. Wars aren't solely waged based on religion; its more often waged based on the need or desire for resources.

I don't have anything against religion, and I don't mind if people practice it as long as they don't force it upon anyone else. However, I agree that religion is an antiquated answer to problems that no longer exist, leaving only the traditions to be practiced today. However, most average religious people have great values and morals derived from religion that still hold true today. I also feel that religion is used as an excuse to brainwash young people into fighting for ridiculous causes, and it is used as an excuse to incite conflict. It's interesting to note that state atheism was practiced by both the Soviet Union, and Communist China between 1949 and 1978. Both programs included ruthless elimination of religious people and structures, but neither was very effective, and both countries now accept religious practice.

I agree, but I couldn't agree/disagree if a world without religion would make us more technologically advanced. I can agree when it comes to socially better though
