Both Temple and RedStar have been brought up but there was an older version of Red Star OS that I tried that was very different from the current one. That thing was insane and felt like an overly malicious Windows 95.

I might due to a video on Red Star OS in the near future.

If I remember correctly, a day prior to the official release of Windows 95, people were camping overnight awaiting the store's opening to purchase the OS.

It was huge back then.

The strangest Ive ever used is the botched version of CP/M 2.2 for the Exxon Office Systems 500. Now that's odd.

In It's time back In the early 90s, It (Windows 3.1) was the sh*t.

As for the comment In your Image, I'd probably contemplate It If I was using the OS now.

What's wrong with bringing up the OS's of our forefathers? Whipper snappers got no respect for those of us who came up on big beige boxes. AT form factor instead of ATX; Shit was weirder when I first started computing. I was far, far, far from the oldest computer enthusiast ever, but I like to think I was around during a formative time in personal computing.
