proxy software? #1
I suspect a quite a few here use their fair share of proxy's for various reasons, logically, you need a program for it so i decided to check out the "proxyfier" software and while am sure it work excellent i seems to have a few issues with it and thus wanted to know what other programs that was out there for both windows and linux with proxy chain support that you HC people may use and recommend:epic:

On this earth, there are lots of difficult and painful things.
I want to fly away and escape from it all,
but i stay,
am afraid and drowning in fear as the camera cover my eye,
but i stay,
for if not me then who?

proxychains (Linux only) is a nice piece of software for doing this, it's a CLI tool that will read a list of proxies from a file and apply them to any program you wish be it a browser or any other tool. (even works quite well with TOR if you have it set up correctly)

That being said I don't use proxies too often as I find them to be unreliable and slow and instead use a good paid VPN

ofc, it depends on what you plan doing and what serves you use and how many, personally i never trust paid VPN like HMA and such because they keep logs i prefer not being there:epic:

I agree a lot of VPN's do so it's worth researching thoroughly before committing to one, and even then you can't really be sure. The same thing could also be said abut proxies though so both require trust

sure, but you only need find one good proxy then connect from there to others while a paid vpn it's them all the way, if the vpn keeps log or not does not change they are a paid service, and i don't exactly like paid services:epic:

But you only need to find 1 good VPN also, so there's not really much difference there. The fact that you don't want to pay for a service is your choice of course and I can't really tell you you're wrong, but I personally think it's the better option. Sure it costs money but the benefits are speed and reliability.

Anyway this is starting to go quite off topic now so I'll leave it at that.

Never trust mainstream VPN services like HMA or Proxpn. I remember a few years ago (I think this happened in 2011) HMA gave away the customer details of a member of a hacking group (I think he was a member of lulzsec) to the Feds. Make sure to use a VPN that doesn't store any logs of your sessions.
