Since the launch of the "Save Crypto" petition, led by privacy groups like the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and supported by other tech companies such as Dropbox, Mozilla, and Twitter, the White House has agreed to meet with those involved to talk about encryption.

Okay, so basically the US government is wanting to install secret backdoors on all software basically. Which not only is that a huge invasion of privacy, but as well if this exploit is found then basically ALL websites will be vulnerable. But not Google, FBI.gov, or the CIA's and anything else related because they won't have that $h17 installed.

I don't like the idea of "US government is wanting to install secret backdoors on all software".

I don't either. The petition is closed now, and we will see the outcome soon, and it better be not be carried out. Or the FBI's site will be hacked in a matter of... oh about 3 days. They will not have only Anonymous on them but hackers more skilled than anyone who considers themselves part of "Anonymous."

This is a very bad idea. I don't think this will be put to effect for anytime long (if it even does).

Well if it does get implemented it's going to be unimplemented very soon afterwards. They will basically call out every hacktivists in existence.
