Hello all, I recently noticed in a few threads that my username shows up in the posts, pretty cool thing that i would like to use on other forums Smile as i am the noob of all noobs can someone explain (in the simplest terms) how to do this please

an example is in @ch3rn0byl signature reference bushes Smile

Hello there, @loveday6224.

This is because people are using the username tags (BB code).

Example:

Code:
[username]

That tag makes it so it displays the readers username.
Are you following what I'm trying to say, [username]?

excuse me for being an all out idiot here BUT i just tried typing the above code into another post in a different forum and it just showed the word username in brackets as opposed to showing [username] ???

I don't know for sure but it might be a custom BBCode thing :bluedog: made.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Each forum can have it's BB code setup in it's own way.
For example, if we wanted :TestTest: to produce a smiley face, we could make it do so.

In other words, every forum is different. Not everything always has to be the same.
