Hello all, I recently noticed in a few threads that my username shows up in the posts, pretty cool thing that i would like to use on other forums as i am the noob of all noobs can someone explain (in the simplest terms) how to do this please

an example is in @ch3rn0byl signature reference bushes

Hello there, @loveday6224.

This is because people are using the username tags (BB code).

Example:

Code:

[username]

That tag makes it so it displays the readers username.
Are you following what I'm trying to say, [username]?

excuse me for being an all out idiot here BUT i just tried typing the above code into another post in a different forum and it just showed the word username in brackets as opposed to showing [username] ???

Each forum can have it's BB code setup in it's own way.
For example, if we wanted :TestTest: to produce a smiley face, we could make it do so.

In other words, every forum is different. Not everything always has to be the same.
