I'm willing to invest time and money into Sinisterly because I love running it. I'm pretty sure this isn't the case for many administrators, as profit is their motivator. In the end, they will sell their forum if presented with a lump sum of cash. I won't.

And It's this very attitude that makes the difference between a failed forum and a successful one, with the latter relative to your contributions and love for Sinisterly.

Given the upgrades are unique and dedicated to Sinisterly alone and not based on any grounds of comparison, It's somewhat arduous to say what Is/Is not considered as being expensive.

Hypothetically, I may think the prices are fine (because I can afford It), whereas others may view them otherwise for reasons of their own belief.

I'm going to close this, since discussion seems pointless at this point in time.

In short:
The upgrades serve as incentive for people to contribute to the forum. Don't have that kind of money? You can earn all of the upgrades just by posting. People have made it to Diamond on points alone before. I'd ultimately prefer people earn their upgrades, as well. The people who do pay for their upgrades, have contributed by covering site expenses.
