email actually scared me #1
Just finished my undergrad and been applying to jobs so I actually check my spam these days and one caught my eyes today. It's fucking hilarious, so worth the read. It is a password I usually use for non-important things but still... I consider a lot of things on the web that so w.e. My bro told me he got a similar email a few weeks ago so were both dying(he thought they sent me a vid of him beating off fr lmaoooo). Some asshole in another province used my SkipTheDishes account to order food with my CC (the account had this password) so now I know how they obtained it. It reads:
Code:
“” is one of your pass words. Lets get straight to the point. None has compensated me to investigate about you. You don't know me and you are most likely wondering why you're getting this mail?

Let me tell you, i setup a software on the xxx vids (sexually graphic) website and there's more, you visited this web site to experience fun (you know what i mean). When you were viewing videos, your web browser started out functioning as a Remote Desktop that has a key logger which provided me accessibility to your screen and also web camera. immediately after that, my software obtained your complete contacts from your Messenger, social networks, as well as emailaccount. and then i created a video. 1st part displays the video you were viewing (you have a good taste : )), and next part shows the view of your cam, and it is you.

You actually have only 2 options. We are going to take a look at these options in details:

1st choice is to disregard this email message. Consequently, i will send out your actual recorded material to each of your your contacts and also think about the embarrassment you feel. Moreover in case you are in a relationship, just how it would affect?

Number 2 solution would be to give me $999. We are going to think of it as a donation. in this instance, i will straightaway remove your video recording. You could keep on going your life like this never occurred and you never will hear back again from me.

You will make the payment through Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search 'how to buy bitcoin' in Google search engine).

in case you are curious about going to the law enforcement officials, surely, this e mail cannot be traced back to me. I have covered my actions. i am just not looking to charge you a lot, i want to be rewarded. email message%}, and noYzJ if i do not receive the bitcoin, i will, no doubt send out your video to all of your contacts including membe rs of your family, coworkers, and so on. Having said that, if i do get paid, i will destroy the video right away. If you want proof, reply with Yes! then i will certainly send your video to your 10 contacts. This is a non-negotiable offer, therefore do not waste my time & yours by replying to this email message.

Check your spam, have a laugh 😊

Haha, I got this same email several months back (with one of my throwaway passes). I assume they are using the database of sites that have been compromised. Wouldn't be surprised if people fall for this.

The sender usually mass mails by the hundreds/thousands- hoping a few Innocent recipients are gullible and comply with their request.

I've Instantly Identified It as fictitious/spam.

Well, what can I say. People watch A LOT of porn so I could see this working. I also wouldn't be surprised if people sent this guy money. You'll find out real quick it's a scam if you don't have a webcam!

This thread made me curious, so I started looking at some of my spam emails on my garbage email used only for signing up to random stuff. Among emails telling me my FB was hacked, my password was stolen, my drivers license needs renewing (I don't even have one), and various viagra offers, here is a snippet of some of my favourites!

Code:
Your Account Balance is $12,345.95 from Bitcoin

Dear [REDACTED],

Your account has just received credits from Bitcoin.

I'm rich, ladies Wink

Code:
If your password is on this list, you are in big trouble

Code:
** Our Bestsellers! **

BEST DRUGS:

Viagra Price $0.73
Cialis Price $1.10
Viagra Professional|Price  $2.02
Cialis Professional|Price  $2.17
Viagra® (Brand)|Price $ 5.42
Cialis® (Brand)|Price $ 5.51

Payment: VISA,MasterCard,E-check

90% of mine all had the same format, so it's easy to see they're all from the same spammer.
