i am lucky because I paid him with PayPal and I can open a claim in 7 days

As I've mentioned a few times over, precautionary measures must be taken when performing online transactions- particularly those unbeknown to you.

He was banned for multiple accounts, not the SE scam because there is no evidence that we can base the ban on. Either way, he is banned from the forum.

Yup. It had nothing to do with scamming you, just the fact he was multi accounting. We will periodically check for that.

I've come across similar scenarios over the years on different boards, of which the majority did not eventuate.
