I have created a server file and the connection tested and connected successfully on LAN but not WAN. I assume that's because of a loopback and the server needs to be outside of my network to connect? The ports are open on port 1604 and port forwarded on the router but the server will not show up in the connections list. I have put up 2 torrents and also some other links but no hits yet.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

I successfully self tested another server and connected on 127.0.0.1 and that works correctly.
Also, is it best to use the rtmp/ftp port to listen since the hacked computer (server) may be firewalled?

connect to yourself via some other external sources rather than localhost. Localhosts always work but sometimes externally it doesn't.

I don't have any external source outside of my network that I could put the server on.

The port seems to be open. Can I test the port forwarding somehow?
Success: I can see your service on xx.xx.xx.xx on port (1604)
Your ISP is not blocking port 1604

I can get the connection test to work on port 21, then it says WAN connected but not on port 1604.
I still cannot get any hits when I place and run the file on another VirtualBox (same network).
Strange...

I have some problems with Darkcomet

I watched almost all the tutorials for this program.

I did all the steps:

- created a no-ip host

- Portforwarded (and succeded on canyouseeme.org)

- I made succesfully a client with darkcomet, ( and used my no-ip host)

- I dissabled my windows defender, anti virus, windows firewall.

- When I run the client ( in my own network) it works.

- When I give it to my friend, he can run the exe file. ( he gets the messagebox that i made to)
But when i look at my darkcomet then, (after that he ran it) i don't see him in my userlist.
