Depends on your requirements. If you want the most hardware and software support, then Windows 10 is the way to go. If you want the most freedom, then Linux is the way to go.

I honestly don't care about whatever dumb UI changes they make to appeal to whatever trends. I doubt they change much that affects the basic components, unless they add better tablet/touch support.
