anyone know where to buy a green screen? #1
I'm getting kind of interested in photo editing, not purely graphic anymore.
For this, obviously, I'm going to need a green screen. There's always the option of painting a wall in my sister's room flourescent green but I don't feel like getting murdered.
(keep in mind I'm damn near broke so price is a big factor)
Thanks in advance!

I've thought about it but another problem is I don't have any lighting equipment.
Well, that and the possible inconsistency of the fabric.
If PS's selection tools were more accurate, it would definitely work.
Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

You can get one for about 30-100$ on amazon and photography equipment sites. If you're doing photography then you also want those large lights. The other option like you said is to paint your wall a green screen green, which is most likely the cheapest option.

Greenscreens are really expensive.
You can easily create one yourself. Smile

Check out Film Riot on youtube. They have answers.
Personally I think that they are best home producers who are sharing a gold mine. I would suggest to seriously check out their channel and you can start with this video -

that's quite old video but still answers your question fully.
Now their videos are even better.

I'll be honest with you, if you're going to buy a green screen for the sole purpose of selecting your desired person using the magic tool, you're better off to go jump out of the window because Photoshop's wand tool is horrible, literally, amazingly not accurate. You'd be better off Pen tooling the whole, sadly, and like 404 said, the purpose is to basically see the person better, so just make sure the wall behind is white and, you'd be better pen tooling him/her.

Hope I helped, tbh I always hated photoshop's magic selection tool!

Also, sorry for reviving a 2 week old thread :l

Why would you use the magic wand for that when you can just chroma key it? (Select > Color range)
