ani-cli
Have you ever wanted to watch anime inside of the command line instead of a boring browser? Well, this simple bash script is your ticket. ani-cli aggregates anime from gogoanime, and allows you to play it in mpv. And the project is an open source bash script, so you won't have to worry about anything fishy going on in the background. You could even edit the script yourself, or contribute to the project.
This script is available to both Linux and WIndows users, but this tutorial will be for the Linux users. You can find the Windows version of the script here.
Here's how you use the Linux script: First, you'll need to navigate to the ani-cli GitHub repository, and download the source code as a ZIP file. Now, locate where you've downloaded the script, and extract the ZIP file with "unzip ani-cli-master.zip". Next, install the script to your /usr/local/bin/ folder, run "make install" inside of the ani-cli-master folder. Finally, run "ani-cli your anime", and you're off the the races!
Thanks for the read. This was a somewhat short program thread, but it's a unique script, that I knew I had to make a thread about. Hopefully somebody from the Anime section sees this.
