You now lose your Xbox gamertag if you don't sign into Xbox Services at least once in a five year period.

I think this is a very good idea, I was tired of always seeing the original xbox logo with no rep on a profile.

More spots for OGs.

Yeah, I guess, but I really was never fazed by having a username with numbers, and I know this will be abused to hell, which is aggravating and concerning.
